Delivery Bodies

RDPE is being delivered regionally and each region has a Regional Implementation Plan setting out regional priorities and themes for funding and delivery.

Regional Implementation Plans

These follow a broadly similar structure across the regions, including:

  • a detailed profile of the rural area
  • the identification of themes and priorities
  • an explanation of the intended governance and communication arrangements
  • procedures for monitoring the outcomes.

Who is involved?

The RDPE is being delivered by 3 different organisations:

  • Delivery of economic and social funding is the responsibility of the Regional Development Agencies
  • Responsibility for delivering agri-environment schemes (Environmental Stewardship) and of the Energy Crop Scheme is with Natural England
  • Delivery of forestry related schemes (England Woodland Grant Scheme) is provided by the Forestry Commission.

Further information on the Forestry Commission, Natural England and the Regional Development Agencies can be found on our Funding Sources page.
